Something new on
the third oldest river in the world.

The River Condos of Asheville

Before there were The River Condos, there was the French Broad River itself, timeless and silent in its northward flow. We knew instinctually that The River Condos needed to reclaim the land and bring back the natural beauty of our stretch of this precious natural resource. Such was the design philosophy behind Riverfront Park.

Here, you can sit, letting your mind drift lazily like a maple leaf on the river's current, under an arbor crafted from iron and vintage railroad ties, with Morning Glory blooming while Wisteria vines climb. If the river urges you onto a more active involvement, slip into the Broad's eddies

and ripples from our private launch for an afternoon of lazy drifting or Class II-III rapids. Or spend a quiet afternoon wetting a hook: who cares if you actually catch anything, although you likely will. And as night falls, gather with friends around the fire pits—guitar in hand, the chirps of crickets your backup—for a night of music, stories, and romance.

As the sun crests the mountains the next morning, an early morning walk on well-groomed trails, through dappled sunlight and sweet smells of the dew-ladden flowers and herbs, will caste an aura of peace on the rest of your day: as if the numerous birds who flock around our wildlife habitats weren't enough.

This commitment to the natural beauty of the River extends to our partnerships with local environmental organizations who are working to save the river too. Riverfront Park will be the northern anchor, and most-assuredly the shining jewel, of what is to be the 17-mile long River Link greenway: a riverside system of public parks, hiking and biking trails, and river access.
